пол. социальная пассивность (нежелание принимать активное участие в деятельности, направленной на совершенствование или изменение социально-экономического и политического порядка, установка на пассивное принятие воли большинства, отказ от участия в острых формах социального протеста — демонстрациях, митингах, забастовках и т. п.; особенно характерна для выпавших из социальной структуры маргинальных слоев, не охваченных традиционными формами социальной организации, воздействием средств массовой коммуникации и т. п.)
